Spring 2013

During my exchange program in Waseda University, the most impressive and challenging course I took was Japanese Business, one of the ABS core courses. This course focused on real-life challenges. It required us to work in group, think about solutions and make strategy plan for two Japanese companies, Point Inc and Suntory Holdings Limited. Industry experts from the companies acted as our mentors and consultants. On top of being provided with professional and inspiring idea to solve the real-world cases, we were encouraged to be creative and turn what we learnt into innovative ideas.

Japanese language course was another interesting course. My class was full of international students from different countries like the U.S., Thailand, France and Korea. We all were getting on very well in spite of different nationalities. As all lectures were conducted in small class, we developed a close relationship with each other easily. Teachers’ earnest teaching and interactive learning activities like games, role play and speech made me enjoy the class so much.

I would treasure all the memories we shared and spent together. Getting into ABS is the most important decision I made in my university life. I am always thankful to be part of ABS which enriches my life and inspires me a lot.
