ABOUT ME
“The truth is you don't know what is going to happen tomorrow. Life is a crazy ride, and nothing is guaranteed.”

Hi, I am Candy. As an active and sociable person, I enjoy meeting new friends with different cultural background. Thanks to this program, I am given the chance to be an exchange student in top universities in Japan and Shanghai each for one semester. In this exchange journey, I would seize the moment not only to obtain more exposure on business practice and socio-culture in Asian countries, but also to enjoy every second with my cohort mates and develop interpersonal network with people from different nations.
Enjoy Every New Challenge

Standard Chartered Bank (Hong Kong)
Summer Intern

Being a summer intern in the Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Department of Standard Chartered, I was assigned to execute business client due diligence on their business and bank account activities by different system based on legislation from HKMA. Without deep understanding in CDD, this job has been a great challenge for me in the beginning. Thanks to my colleagues who patiently explained every step and offered me assistance, I was able to handle cases individually. It has been an interesting experience when I studied the accounts and operations of companies which I visited frequently. Also, I have found a sense of accomplishment when I completed a case without any mistakes being challenged by checkers.
Study Trip in Vietnam
Where will you go if you have 3 days’ holiday, stay at home or go camping in Cheung Chau? For ABSers, even there were only 3 days 2 night, we went for a study trip in Vietnam. Though time was limited, we have had a fruitful journey. In addition to company visit to bank, investment company and local manufacturing firm, we have enjoyed sight-seeing in this rapid developing country and learnt its miserable history. In this study trip, we studied, played and rested together. We got to know each other deeper and the relationship among our cohort have been much closer.
