Applicants are required to provide the following documents together with the application form:

  • a latest CUHK unofficial transcript;
  • a photocopy of valid scores report of TOEFL / IELTS;
  • a photocopy of academic result(s) achieved prior to entering CUHK; and
  • a photocopy of identity document(s).

TOEFL and IELTS are considered valid for 2 years from the test date.

Yes, you can still apply. Applicants who have not taken TOEFL / IELTS test may be considered for conditional offer and those successful applicants are required to submit a valid TOEFL / IELTS report by end of February in the same application year to fulfill the ABS admission requirements. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the conditional offer.

Successful applicants will be transferred to ABS after completion of their current year of study.  Non-IBBA students should apply for change of major to IBBA under CUSIS within the prescribed period by Registration and Examinations Section.

ABS is the first concentration area. Additionally, students have the opportunity to pursue a second concentration. However, ABS students are not eligible to declare Management of International Business (MIB) as their second concentration due to its similarity in focus.

Partner universities usually provide on-campus accommodation to ABS students. Off-campus accommodation is sometimes provided, but the host universities will offer guidance on finding off-campus accommodation. (TBC)

Different scholarships and financial schemes are available for eligible students from the University and Colleges. (TBC)

For the exchange to Waseda University, ABS students may be able to apply for scholarship offered by the Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) on applying to Waseda University through ABS Program. Availability, conditions and amount of this scholarship may vary from one year to another. JASSO, Waseda University and other related organizations reserve the right to make final decisions on selection of scholarship recipients, as well as amendment of its rules, regulations and procedures at any time without prior notice.

For the exchange to Shanghai Jiao Tong University, students may receive financial support from the Ministry of Education (MOE) Ten Thousand Student Interflow Programme [香港與內地高校師生交流計劃(萬人計劃)]. Long term availability of this support is subject to continued collaboration by MOE, Shanghai Jiao Tong University (SJTU) and CUHK, and is reviewed annually. Availability, conditions and amount of any funding may vary from one year to another. MOE, SJTU and CUHK reserve the right to make final decisions on any changes to the Programme's rules, regulations and procedures at any time without prior notice.

Yes. Students are responsible to arrange their own student visa with taking the necessary documents including admission letter from the host university.
